Ornamental mask of the Noh theater representing a young woman. The Onna masks have blackened teeth, red lips and full, plump cheeks, high eyebrows on the forehead and collected hair divided by a large central part. These masks respond to those aesthetic standards that were very popular among young women of the Heian period.
The mask is made of ceramic and has been fixed on a wooden base to hang it on the wall with a purple cord. Measures of the wooden base: 27.2cm x 20.8cm.
