Kokeshi, made and hand painted by Usaburo Kokeshi. The name Shiawase Hizo in Japanese means "happy Jizo". Jizo is a much loved deity in Japan, he is the protector of travelers and children. The wood used for the creation of this kokeshi is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood). This kokeshi stands 11.5cm tall. Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
