Kokeshi Omoi (M)
Kokeshi made and hand painted by the award-winning artist Masae Fujikawa, who won the "Prime Minister" award in 1996 and 2002 and the "Minister of Agriculture, forestry and Fishery" award in 1995 and 1996. The term Omoi in Japanese means "thoughts / love". Flowers have been carved into her kimono that are about to bloom. The wood used for the creation of this kokeshi is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood). The kokeshi stands 18cm tall and 8.5cm in diameter. It is accompanied by a small wooden plaque, with his name, the name and the stamp of the craftsman who made it. Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
