Kokesh with an oval shape made and hand painted by the artist Kojo Tanaka. The name Haru Wo Omou in Japanese means "thoughts of spring". Plum blossoms (Ume) have been painted on this doll's kimono, the first flowers to bloom after winter, therefore a symbol of the beginning of spring. The wood used for the creation of this kokeshi is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood). This kokeshi stands 8.5cm tall and 7cm in diameter.
Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
