Kokeshi with an oval shape made and hand painted by the artist Usaburo, whose name means "mother's day". This kokeshi was created to celebrate love for mothers. Carnation flowers are engraved on her ivory-colored kimono, which in Japan are a symbol of purity and sweetness. The wood used for the creation of this kokeshi is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood). This kokeshi stands 12.5cm tall and 7.5cm in diameter. It is accompanied by a black base and a small wooden plaque, with his name, signature and stamp of the craftsman who made it.
