Kokeshi Akachan tanjō

Pair of oval-shaped kokeshi, made and hand painted by Usaburo Kokeshi. The name Akachan Tanjō in Japanese means "birth of a child" and in fact these kokeshi represent a couple of new parents with their baby. This pair of kokeshi makes a great welcome and auspicious gift for the newcomer and the family. The wood used for the creation of this kokeshi is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood). Measurements: 7cm x 5.8cm. Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
