Kokeshi Yoiyami

Wonderful and very high vintage kokeshi made and hand painted by the award-winning artist Aoki Ryoka, winner of the coveted "Prime Minister Award" twice.
The name of this doll is Yoiyami which in Japanese means "dark".
It is a very valuable model, it is a unique model, a single example has been made, which stands out for its elegance, for its linear and slender shape and for its height, it is 75cm high.
It comes with a wooden plate with its name in Japanese and the signature and stamp of the artist who made it.
Although it is a period piece, its general condition is fairly good, it has an imperfection in the wood behind the head (visible in the photo).
