Kokeshi, made and hand painted by Usaburo Kokeshi. The term Meototsuru in Japanese means "pair of cranes" and in fact on the kimono, left natural wood color, of this kokeshi a couple of cranes and a pine tree have been engraved and painted. Pine and cranes in Japan symbolize the longevity and harmony of a marital relationship and are auspicious symbols. For the realization of this kokeshi was used Mizuki wood (Japanese dogwood) for the face and chestnut wood for the body and the helmet. The kokeshi is 26cm tall and 9cm in diameter. It is accompanied by a wooden plate, with its name, the name and the stamp of the craftsman who made it. Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
