Kokeshi Tomodachi
Kokeshi finely made and hand painted by the artist Oki Yasunobu, winner of numerous prizes and awards, student of Master Sansaku Sekiguchi. The artist's style can be found in the accuracy of the details and in the elegance that stand out in this kokeshi.
This kokeshi depicts a girl wearing a beautiful red kimono with large cherry blossoms engraved, so as to appear made with the shibori technique (Japanese technique that consists in embellishing fabrics, tying and knotting them before dyeing them), and holding them between his arms his friend, a lovely white kitten. In fact, the term Tomodachi in Japanese means "friends".
The wood used for the creation is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood).
The doll is 23cm tall and has a diameter of 10cm. The kokeshi is accompanied by a wooden plate, with its name, the name and the stamp of the artist who made it and the original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist.
