Vintage kokeshi handmade in a single copy by the artist Houraku.
This kokeshi is called Yoshino, an ancient Japanese name which means "she who comes from the good and fertile land".
It is a majestic piece that stands out for the sweet and dreamy expression on her face and for the meticulous engraving work done on her kimono and long hair.
Maple leaves have been engraved on her beautiful kimono, a symbol of elegance and grace. The Japanese maple represents the provisional nature of things and nature, precisely because in autumn it loses its leaves forming at its feet a multicolored carpet that adorns any garden, leaves that according to the Zen philosophy, must not be collected until the last it will not have fallen from the plant, because sacred is the cycle of life and of the seasons.
For its realization it was used the precious Keyaki wood.
The original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist. Despite being a vintage piece, its overall condition is very good, with only a few light scratches.
