Kokeshi Kofuku Daruma
Kokeshi, with a rounded shape, made and hand painted by Usaburo Kokeshi. The name Kofuku Daruma means "happy Daruma". Daruma dolls, also called dharma dolls, are Japanese votive figurines, representing Bodhidharma (Daruma in Japanese), the founder and first patriarch of Zen Buddhism. This kokeshi is a symbol of tenacity, perseverance and optimism. The wood used for the creation of this kokeshi is Mizuki (Japanese dogwood). The dimensions are: height 5cm and diameter 5.8cm.
Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
