Pair of Kokeshi made and hand painted by the award-winning artist Masae Fujikawa, who won the "Prime Minister" award in 1996 and 2002 and the "Minister of Agriculture, forestry and Fishery" award in 1995 and 1996.
This couple depicts a very sweet elderly couple with a happy and kind expression. Their kimonos are painted with sprigs of pine and plum blossoms, both symbols of good luck in Japan. Their name is Jufuku which in Japanese means "long life and happiness". They are a great gift to wish your partner or friends and family a long and happy life as a couple.
The pair of kokeshi is accompanied by a wooden base. Dimensions: height 13cm, width 12cm and depth 7.5cm. Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
