Kokeshi made and hand painted by the artist Megumi Nozawa. The kokeshi made by this artist differ from those of other artists for the always joyful expression of the face, for the engraved hair, for the colored kimonos and full of details and above all for being unique pieces or produced in limited numbers and not in series. .
The name of this kokeshi is Enoshima which indicates a small Japanese island located near the city of Kamakura. The artist depicted a chubby young boy wearing a beautiful kimono consisting of a Haori (jacket) with Chidori (birds) motif and a hakama (skirt / trousers) with traditional Japanese Seigaiha wave motif. The stylized Seigaiha waves symbolize the four seas surrounding Japan and represent peace, serenity and the flow of life.
The kokeshi is accompanied by a wooden plate with the artist's name, signature and stamp. Original packaging is included, stamped and signed by the artist who created the kokeshi.
