Haori for woman in pure black silk, with hand-painted chrysanthemum flowers embellished with gold thread embroidery, according to the precious Japanese kinkoma technique. The chrysanthemum in the Eastern world, contrary to what happens in the West, represents immortality. In Japan it is linked to strength and endurance as being born in winter, it survives the cold and bad weather. Precisely for this reason the chrysanthemum is the symbol of the imperial family.
This haori is an original Japanese period garment, belonging to the late Showa period (1960-1989). It is a unique piece, sewn and packaged entirely by hand. It is complete with haori himo, laces to close it in front.
Measurements: length 74cm, sleeve to sleeve 130cm.
It can be worn open like a jacket or overcoat or closed with a high waist belt and can be combined with both casual and elegant garments, such as jeans, leggings, trousers and dresses.
